Sandy’s MusicGirl Camp 2017
This two day music camp was open to all girls. The camp was held at Lake Wales Arts Center.
Mission: To inspire girls to develop music skills and develop self-esteem.
No music experience is necessary. The classes are taught “by ear” – ability to read music is not required.
Sandy’s MusicGirl Scholarship program has a limited number of donor instruments. Girls are not required to have their own instruments.
Junior MusicGirls ages 5-9
Participated in a fun filled morning with in ukulele, dulcimer, singing and percussion followed by a much needed lunch.
Senior MusicGirls aged 10-19
Had a choice of 3 instruments along with dulcimer, dance,and voice.
The instruments included, guitar, fiddle, ukulele, bass, banjo, mandolin, and songwriting.
A MusicGirl Showcase at the end of the second day showed off the girls new talents.
